Soleil House was one of the featured home tours during Modernism week in Palm Springs. Designed in 1963 by architect Harold J. Bissner, Soleil House had fallen into a "state of disrepair" until it was purchased by Trina Turk, a fashion designer, who fully restored the house to its mid-century "simplicity" with vibrant, bold colors, patterns, and furniture characteristic of the Trina Turk brand. The home beautifully represents the indoor-outdoor quality that so characterizes modernist architecture (with a swimming pool that is practically in the bedroom!). Soleil House is located in the Mesa neighborhood of Palm Springs.
