Our major destination this vacation was Chicago. I met Dennis in Toledo, and we spent the first day at Put-In-Bay, a tourist town on South Bass Island in Lake Erie. Then, off to Chicago, one of America's great cities. Dennis and I stayed in a beautiful historic hotel downtown. We saw all the major sites—including a visit to Oak Park, home to numerous Frank Lloyd Wright buildings. On the way back to Toledo, we stopped in South Bend to visit Msgr. Bill Schooler and to tour Notre Dame University.
