2008 was my year to go east, so Msgr. Dennis Metzger and I headed south from Toledo. We travelled first to Kentucky and Tennessee, then north to Missouri. From there we headed east to Indiana and back into Ohio. This area was the original "gateway to the west." What surprised me was the sense of antebellum America that still exists in the small towns, the local museums, and the historic houses. These pictures were taken with a Canon PowerShot 640.
