For vacation in 2004, I headed east to join my friend Msgr. Dennis Metzger at the "Metzger Open," an annual family reunion that takes place at the Metzger homestead at Bethlehem, Ohio (not so much a town as a church, a school, and a cemetery). From there to Pittsburgh (where we joined a John Kerry rally) and on to Gettysburg and Philadelphia. A lot of history at this vacation, along with the large Metzger family. It was a very enjoyable trip east.
