Vacations
For the past 30+ years, Msgr. Dennis Metzger and I have spent ten days to two weeks of the summer on vacation. Msgr. Metzger is a priest of the Diocese of Toledo, and we met in 1979 when both of us were graduate students in Rome.
I started taking digital pictures in 2002, so the pictures below represent just a few years of our vacations (I am still transferring pictures from my previous site to this site). Eventually, I hope to scan both pictures and slides to give a full representation of our time together, including a trip to Italy in 1989. One year, Dennis comes west; and the other year, I head east. Some of our favorite places are Chicago, Vancouver B.C., San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and Boston (home to Dennis's beloved Red Sox).
