I recently received copies of some photographs of my parents, my father, Thomas Brennan (here, "Tommie"), my mother, Maria (Mares) Brennan, and some of my father's siblings. My father was born at Claremorris, County Mayo, in 1919. He is the son of David Brennan (1872-1936) and Annie Walsh (1882-1976) who were married at St. Colman Catholic Church in Claremorris in 1905. My father was one of 12 children: May, Maggie (Peg), Martin, Patrick (Paddy), Kathleen, Julia (Judy), Michael, Jack, Thomas, Bridget (Bridie), Emmett, and Loretta (Laurie). I presume that most of my father's pictures were taken at the family home, Drumkeen, just outside of Claremorris. The other pictures were taken in Austria, where my father met my mother, Maria (in Vienna). They were married at Klagenfurt, Austria, on May 14, 1947. They came to the United States in 1948.
