Oceanside 2015

For retreat this year, I spent a few days at the home of my sister and brother-in-law on the Oregon coast.  The weather was a bit stormy and overcast, but the sun did poke through (it was sunny my last day).  I took along my Canon G7 point and shoot camera, and I got some good pictures during my late afternoon walks.  The pictures were developed in Lightroom, with some additional work in Perfect Suite 9.5.

Though overcast and a bit cool, it was a nice day for a walk.

Occasionally, the sun would pop through, creating beautiful reflections.

Though the weather was inclement, the light was tremendous!

Three Arch Rocks is a National Wildlife Refuge.

The refuge was the first of its kind west of the Mississippi River.

The wildlife refuge protects over a quarter million nesting seabirds.

The refuge is also home to marine mammals, such as Harbor Seals and Steller Sea Lions.

The refuge is comprised of nine rocks, three large (seen here) and six small, totaling 15 acres.
