Rome—the Eternal City. We began our pilgrimage in the great and ancient city of Rome—the capital of Italy and the home of Vatican City. We were welcomed with beautiful sunshine as we entered the city, and the temperature was pleasantly mild. We spent three nights in Rome, hardly enough to see all that the city has to offer. Still, as these highlights indicate, we visited some magnificent sites, and we had a great time. Food, wine, inspiration: there is no city like Rome!
