Those who know me might find it surprising that I really like Las Vegas, Nevada. It is a resort city, of course, mostly due to the popularity of gambling, but there is so much more: shopping, fine dining, classy entertainment, an active nightlife, and the Las Vegas Strip, a lineup of architecturally striking hotels. I park myself in "Sin City" when I want to explore the beautiful desert terrain that surrounds it. Another draw is that I can usually find great discounts at fine hotels. This time I stayed at 3000+ room Mirage Hotel. Of note in the pictures below, you'll find the just opened Sphere, a giant entertainment globe and arena. These few pictures give only a taste of a unique and fascinating city.
