Knock is a major Marian shrine in County Mayo, Ireland. In 1879, there was an apparition of Mary, Joseph, John the Evangelist, Jesus (as a lamb), and angels on one of the outside gables of the parish church. On the way to Knock, we stopped at Saint Mary Abbey Cemetery, Ballinasmalla, Claremorris, where my ancestors are buried. The abbey was founded in the 13th century. Finally, I have some pictures of a stop we made for Irish coffee. Yes, it was very good!
