Leaving the Cliffs of Moher, we returned to Galway in the early evening—the light was perfect! Galway is the largest town in the west of Ireland. It retains its medieval street infrastructure, making it a very walkable city. As you'll see from the pictures, the city is lively with residents and visitors, boasting a large population of young people (Galway is a university city). We had Mass at the cathedral (built in 1957), and all of us wished we had more time to spend exploring this ancient city. A good reason to return!
