Driving south from Loch Ness and following the Caledonian Canal, we arrived at Fort William—the gateway to Ben Nevis, the Uk's highest peak (4,411 ft). We had Mass at St. Mary's Church, followed by lunch at a nice pub on the main street of Fort William. From there we traveled further south and west to the port city of Oban—the major access point to the Hebridean islands. There, we boarded a ferry for the Island of Mull, crossed the island, and boarded another ferry for the last leg of our journey: the Isle of Iona.
