Coming from Ayr we crossed Scotland from west to east, through Glasgow, and on to Edinburgh, the historical, cultural, and political capital of Scotland. We arrived in the early evening for a (blessed) two-night stay. Still, there was not enough time to see everything in this ancient and modern city, dominated by a beautiful castle (left) in the middle of the city. We had Mass at St. Mary's Cathedral and spent most of the day touring. We also had time for ourselves, during which I took most of these pictures. I will return to Edinburgh!
