Claremorris and Ballinasmalla Cemetery

Claremorris was the largest town near the village of Drumkeen where my father, Thomas, was born and raised.  The family plot and headstone is at Ballinasmalla Cemetery on the grounds of St. Mary's Abbey (founded 1288), a Carmelite friary now in ruins. This beautiful cemetery, well maintained, is everything you imagine an Irish country cemetery to be!
