Leaving Claremorris, we headed south to Connemara and to the Ballynahinch Castle Hotel. We had stayed here last summer, and we really enjoyed the luxury comfort in a very rustic and remote setting. The "castle" is really a country manor that sits beside a river amid 450 acres of wooded land. The castle dates from 1756, but its foundation is much older. Great food, and comfortable rooms. What could be better!
