The 100 pictures here give a good summary of my visit to Australia, hosted by my friends Joe and Jean Johns. Starting at Melbourne in the far southeast of the country, then moving briefly to Adelaide (my arrival and departure city), then to Clare and the Clare Valley. This is the home of my hosts, a beautiful pastoral setting of vineyards, rolling hills, and springtime beauty. From there, moving to the coast at Marion Bay on the Yorke Peninsula (and Innes National Park), rugged and stark, with beautiful empty beaches. Heading to western Australia, we flew from Adelaide to Perth, staying about 100 miles south at Margaret River. Flying back to the Clare Valley, I concluded my trip at the Jesuit Retreat Center—a peaceful end to my extraordinary journey.
